RAUL ABREU

About

Raúl Abreu was born in Havana, Cuba. He began his professional studies at the Fernando Alonso National Ballet School.

In 2015, Raúl joined the ranks of the Cuban National Ballet. Due to his outstanding artistic and technical work, in 2016, while still a member of the Ballet Corps at only 18 years old, he was chosen to play the role of Prince Siegfried in the ballet: Swan Lake. In 2017, he was promoted to Soloist, and in 2018, he obtained the category of Principal Dancer.

Raúl has been performing on the most prestigious ballet stages ever since and has been invited to various ballet galas and events such as the Festival of the Arts of Cuba at the Kennedy Center (Washington, USA), the Cali Dance Festival (Colombia) and the Etoiles de La Salle Pleyel Gala in Paris (France).

Raúl has a great fondness and passion for Photography and Videography, where 3 years ago he received a National Amateur Photography Award in Cuba. His best hobbies are cameras and spending hours in the gym.
