About

Shuko Tayama was born in Japan and began her ballet journey at the age of 5. 

She pursued her passion for dance through rigorous training in Japan and at the esteemed Vaganova Ballet Academy. Her dedication led her to perform with various companies in Russia, as well as with the Cairo Opera Ballet in Egypt.

Shuko dreams of dancing until she is 60, a testament to her deep love and commitment to ballet. 

She draws inspiration from the story of “Beauty and the Beast,” which emphasizes the importance of inner beauty and the heart. Her favorite character to portray is the Black Swan from “Swan Lake,” a role that allows her to explore complex emotions and technical prowess. 

To young dancers, Shuko advises listening carefully to the guidance of teachers and experienced dancers and always striving for excellence in academic ballet.
