Aleksei Ivanov brings more than 15 years of international ballet experience to audiences across the United States with the World Ballet Company. A graduate of the legendary Vaganova Ballet Academy in Saint Petersburg, Aleksei has performed with leading companies including the Estonian National Ballet, Thüringer Staatsballett in Germany, and Bosnian National Ballet. His career has taken him to over 18 countries across North America, Europe, and Asia, where audiences have admired his artistry in both classical and contemporary works by Petipa, MacMillan, Cranko, McGregor, Stevenson, and many others. In addition to performing, Aleksei has served as ballet master and répétiteur with the State Ballet Theatre of Nizhny Novgorod, sharing his knowledge with the next generation of dancers. Most recently, he appeared in the acclaimed “Context. Diana Vishneva X” project at the Nizhny Novgorod Opera and Ballet Theatre as part of the Gorky+ Festival 2024.
