About

Karina Yokota was born in Sendai, Japan, and began ballet training at the age of three. She has trained internationally since childhood, attending the Pacific Northwest Ballet School Summer Course at age twelve, as well as programs at Radford University and London Studio Centre. From 2022 to 2025, she studied at the renowned Vaganova Ballet Academy, where she deepened her classical foundation and performance artistry.

  • Classical repertoire developed during training in Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Russia

Favorite Ballets: The Sleeping Beauty — for its charm, musicality, and vibrant storytelling; and Romeo and Juliet — for its intense emotion and Prokofiev’s haunting music

Artistic Aspiration:
To create performances that stay with audiences long after the curtain falls, and to one day revisit the roles she danced as a child
