Aleksandr Akhmedzianov was born and raised in Kazan, Russia. He began his formal dance education at the Kazan Choreographic General Education School in 2006, starting his artistic journey at the age of ten. He has spent his entire career dancing with the Kazan Opera and Ballet Theatre, building an extensive repertoire across classical and contemporary productions.

Favorite Ballet and/or Favorite Ballet Role:
Favorite Ballet: Zorba the Greek — for the way the music, chorus, and choreography awaken something truly incredible

Favorite Literary Character:
Artyom from Dmitry Glukhovsky’s novels — for his bravery, fairness, and commitment to the truth

Most Demanding Ballet Role:
The Guard in Hyacinth — a part with lifts that are extremely awkward and uncomfortable

Advice to Young Dancers:
“Don’t be afraid of anything. Work hard and keep moving forward.”
