Alimkhan Turebekov
CORPS DE BALLET

About

Alimkhan Turebekov was born in Talgar, Kazakhstan. He began his formal ballet training in 2007 at the Seleznev Almaty Choreographic School, where his talent was recognized early. He became a laureate of several international competitions, earning Third Place at the Delphic Games (Kazakhstan, 2013) and First Place at the IX International Choreographic Competition “Riga Spring”.

After graduations from the State Academic Dance Theatre of the Republic of Kazakhstan he was invited to the Abay State Opera and Ballet Theatre and later to the Astana Ballet.

Alimkhan aspires to perform the roles of Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake and Albrecht in Giselle. His favorite fairytale is Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ugly Duckling — a story whose message, “We are more than we appear to be,” resonates deeply with him.

Looking back, Alimkhan reflects that if he could start over, he would focus even more on refining his technique, musicality, partnering, and acting — while also building physical endurance, mental strength, and intellectual curiosity. He believes in lifelong learning, spiritual growth, and balance between art and discipline.
