Iskandar Anvarov began his ballet training at the Ufa Choreographic College named after Rudolf Nureyev, later continuing at the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, from which he graduated in 2020.
Soon after, he joined the Musa Jalil Tatar Opera and Ballet Theatre in Kazan as a soloist. In 2021, Iskandar became a member of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre, where his artistry and technical refinement earned him promotion to First Soloist in 2023. Most recently, he performed as a principal dancer with the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet.
His repertoire encompasses a wide range of classical works, including Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, La Bayadère, La Sylphide, and Cinderella.
A laureate of international ballet competitions, Iskandar also took part in the Bolshoi Ballet Academy Summer Intensives in New York in 2019 and 2023.
Passionate about the emotional depth of performance, Iskandar cites Romeo and Juliet as his favorite ballet for its sincerity and dramatic power. Inspired by Sinbad the Sailor, he values curiosity, courage, and the pursuit of new horizons. His dream is to share his art on stages around the world and to move audiences through genuine feeling.
He lives by a simple credo: “Don’t be afraid of mistakes — believe in yourself.”
