About

Brief Bio:
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Letícia Padilha Fernandes began dancing at the tender age of three. Her passion and dedication led her to Germany, where she graduated from the prestigious State Ballet School of Berlin. There, she refined her technique and developed a unique artistic voice. She has performed with Staatsballett Berlin in The Nutcracker and other classic productions.

Major Roles & Ballets:

  • The Nutcracker (Staatsballett Berlin)

  • La Bayadère – Shades scene

  • Other repertory classics in Berlin and internationally

Bucket List Dream:
To inspire the next generation of dancers and show young artists that anything is possible with passion and perseverance

Favorite Ballet and/or Favorite Ballet Role:
Favorite Ballet: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Christopher Wheeldon
Favorite Role: The Red Queen — for her humor and theatricality

Least Favorite Ballet Role:
The Shades scene in La Bayadère, due to its emotional and expressive restraint

Least Favorite Ballet Movement:
Brisé and Fouettés — movements she finds particularly challenging

Advice to Young Dancers:
“Never give up! Everyone grows at their own pace. If you feel different, use it as your strength. Find what makes you unique and be your own biggest supporter.”

Favorite Fairytale Character:
Mulan — a symbol of strength and independence who proves that anyone can achieve greatness regardless of circumstance
