About

Born in Ukraine, Lina Sheveleva began dancing at the age of five in her mother’s dance studio.

She trained at the National College of Choreography of the Republic of Moldova and later at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts in Moldova.

Throughout her career, she has performed with the Maria Bieșu National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Moldova, and the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia.

Her dream is simple and heartfelt — a home filled with sunlight on a warm shore by the sea.

One of the most challenging roles Lina has danced was the Corps de Ballet of the Shades in La Bayadère — breathtakingly beautiful, yet physically demanding and among the most difficult parts of her career.

Lina’s favorite ballet is Romeo and Juliet, and the role of Juliet holds a special place in her heart, as it was the first major production of her artistic career. The Italian passion and Prokofiev’s unforgettable music make it impossible not to love.

To her younger self, she would say: be braver, and celebrate every day — even the smallest victories.
