Wakana Hara
CORPS DE BALLET

About

Born in Kagawa, Japan, Wakana began ballet at the age of eight and went on to train at the prestigious Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia. Her professional experience spans performances in Russia, the United States, Belgium, and Japan, where she has appeared in a wide range of classical and contemporary productions.

Her dream as a dancer is to express ballet in a way that is uniquely her own — to move audiences and transform the atmosphere of the theater through her energy and presence. Her favorite role is Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, a character she connects to for her emotional honesty and youthful passion.

She admires Kitri from Don Quixote for her lively spirit and relatability, and admits that Princess Aurora remains her most challenging role due to the balance of poise, purity, and precision it demands.

Her guiding belief: “Hard work always pays off. The small efforts you make each day might take time to show results, but they will come. Stay true to yourself, stay humble, and trust your intuition.”
