About

Zhanay Baurzhanuly began his ballet training at the age of nine at the Seleznev Choreographic School in Kazakhstan, where he developed a strong classical foundation and a disciplined artistic voice. Upon graduating in 2019, he joined the ballet company of the Abay State Opera and Ballet Theatre, performing for four seasons across the full classical repertoire as a corps de ballet member and second soloist.

His stage experience includes roles in Boris Eifman’s Anna Karenina and Red Giselle, as well as major classical productions presented by the Abay State Opera and Ballet Theatre. He is particularly drawn to Eifman’s works for their emotional depth, psychological nuance, and creative intensity.

Beyond the stage, Zhanay finds inspiration in the resilience and determination of the anime character Naruto, whose perseverance mirrors his own philosophy as an artist. Guided by his father’s words — “Everything in this world is possible — the key is to work wisely and believe in yourself” — he continues to pursue growth with purpose and conviction.

Since 2025, Zhanay Baurzhanuly has been performing with the World Ballet Company, where he brings his expressive strength and quiet focus to audiences across the United States.
